How to Deal With Acid Reflux Symptoms
Suffering with acid reflux and gallstones?
I’ve been dealing with A.R. for a few years now. I’ve gone to the doctor about 5 or 6 times complaining of A.R. symptoms and had a bunch a test done the doctors always sent me home saying stop eating so unhealthy. I would always explain that I always eat baked foods (rarely ever fried), I eat lite meals didn’t lay down to a least 2 or 3 hours after eating. I also take Mylanta before every meal (doctors orders). Going back and forth to the doctor and e.r. has cost me thousands of dollars (I’m not insured). Monday I finally had a doctor at the e.r. take the time to listen to what I was saying and do the correct testing.
Well any who I said I all that to say that the doctor told me I have gallstones and need to have my gallbladder removed. If you or someone know have had gallbladder removal please tell about the procedure, how long was your recovery, also if you still have issues with acid reflux. Thanks in advance.
Gallstones mostly caused by cholesterol pigments , the gall bladder which has function of just storing and concentrating bile which is required for fats digestion process called emulsification , this stored biled is synthesised in liver , so removing gallbladder doesnt mean you lose bile as well but the bile would come down direct from liver to the intestine not stored in gallbladder
the initial symptoms of gallstones are usually nasuea abdominal pain especially in the right hypochondrium an area below your rib cage on right side , on examination the MURPHYs sign is positive meaning you stop respiration when deeply palpated in right hypochondrium
then your gall stones are confirmed by the ultrasound abdomen a CT can also show it
treating gall stones depends on if its ACUTE CHOLECYSTITIS or CHRONIC ?
actute is managed syptomatically when the pain goes away the patient is asked to come after some time for removal when it goes from actute stage to chronic
CHOLECYSTECTOMY is the removal of gall stones very important because gall stones carries the risk of having cholangiocarcinoma and blocking the whole bile duct or even the ampulla of vater thats an entry of ducts in the duedenum which carries bile and pancreatic enzymes
there are two types of cholecystectomy both requiring the general anesthesia
OPEN CHOLECYSTECTOMY which involves an insicion below the right costal margin and you has a scar after surgery
simple procedure the one which i have seen were not more than 15 minutes may be they take more time there ,
LAPROSCOPIC cholecystectomy OR LAPCHOLE
is done laproscopically has no chance of scar but four ports are entered at different positions and the gall bladder is removed
then you have to biopsy the tissue
please talk about lapchole to your doctor because being a female you dont want a scar on abdomen !
no fats in diet plz
good luck !
