Common Acid Reflux Causes
What are some of the more common causes of acid reflux?
Eating anything in excess… that’s the number one way to get acid reflux. It also depends on WHAT you eat. Acidic foods will more likely want to make their way back up! Mexican food is a big cause of acid reflux… eaten in decent portions (drinking lots of water).. helps.
However, while I was pregnant with my first child, I developed Acid Reflux. It was horrible. I don’t normally eat a lot of food anyway… my mother always said I eat like a bird. However, when you’re pregnant, everything changes. I ate more than I normally would, whether I wanted to or not! I was hungry more!
I am paying for it now. Coffee is a huge problem for me, and I hate that. I LOVE COFFEE! I am just careful to drink a load of water. That helps balance it all out!
Tums is helpful and it has a load of calcium – which is good. I chew about 6 a day whether I have reflux or not.
